Methode Traditionnelle 2019
This sparkling red wine is Christmas in a glass! Produced using the Méthode Traditionnelle process, our Sparkling Shiraz uses hand-picked Shiraz grapes from our own Woodsoak Wines vineyard. After blending, the wine was on tirage for 9 months before being disgorged and liqueured. You may have previously heard this style of sparkling red referred to in Australia as Sparkling Burgundy.
Colour: Deep ruby
Aroma: Rich ripe plums and blueberries. The full bodied decadent flavours on the nose carry through to the palate.
Palate: A robust sparkling red wine, with an abundance of fruit flavours in a savoury spectrum from spiced plums, black cherries and currants. It consists of many layers waiting to be explored & exudes an elegant and lively mouthfeel. Utterly delicious!

Layers of spicy black fruits meet the savoury complexity of maturation in old French oak barrels, with fine, firm tannins softened by 23g/l of dosage. It’s already secondary in its character, ready to drink now, and carries good line and persistence.
