A Toast to the Past 6 Months of Adventures at Woodsoak Wines
Summer was a whirlwind of laughter and celebration at Woodsoak Wines in Robe. We hope you enjoyed some festivities and relaxing vibes too. Here’s a sneak peek at what made ‘Summer 23/24’ so memorable.
Sparkling & Samosas by the Bay
Our much-anticipated annual Sparkling & Samosas event kicked off a jam-packed summer season. With our stunning Guichen Bay backdrop, the bubbles (and samosas) never stopped flowing. Live tunes from talented local, Holly Tippler, added extra magic. It was a privilege to share such moments of joy and connection with our wonderful community.
Wonka Wonders at Robe Cinema
The festivities continued at the Robe Cinema with a screening of Wonka to a packed house of kids and adults who couldn’t get enough of the chocolatey adventure. Thanks to Robe Cinema and Robetown Chocolates for their sweet collaboration with us.
Celebrating the Farmer’s Wife
Our very own Farmer’s Wife turned 53 years young, and we popped Blanc de Noirs in style! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this special celebration unforgettable! What a night!
Brothers in Arms
We would be remiss not to give a massive shout-out to this dynamic duo for their help over the festive season. They’re now old enough (and apparently wise enough 😄) to give the Farmer and his wife the gift of enjoying a night out. They were all service with a smile (and not a drop drunk by either).
A Sparkling Night at the Limestone Coast Wine Show, Medals at The ANZ Boutique Wine Show and the Australian Sparkling Wine Awards
Our annual trip to the Limestone Coast Wine Show, hosted at the breathtaking Padthaway Estate, felt like a dream. Each of our seven wines entered took home a medal. It really was a spectacular event. A huge shout-out to our incredible team, who made this possible for our Zaahira Sparkling, Santi Sauvignon Blanc, Mayur Chardonnay, Rani Rosé, Raj Shiraz, Blanc de Noirs and our delicious new Sonia Sparkling Red.
We were also thrilled to receive 4 medals at the ANZ Boutique Wine Show, which gives a voice to the minority group in the wine industry. These medals were for our Santi Sauvignon Blanc, Rani Rosé, Raj Shiraz and Sonia Sparkling Red.
Our Blanc de Noirs and Zaahira Sparkling also received medals at the prestigious Australian Sparkling Wine Awards.
Cape Fest fun, Boat Show Bonanza and the Fabulous SE Field Days
The Cape Fest was an absolute hit to round out the year! Special thanks to everyone who joined us at Norfolk Rise Barrel Hall for wine, Limoncello, and cosmopolitan action. Your support and energy were infectious, making it a night to remember. Well done to Jason and his team for pulling off such a fantastic event.
The Robe Boat Show was another lovely community event, with our Limoncello Caravan serving wine and cocktails. This year, Louise Adams was on fire with her live tunes.
The South East Field Days in Lucindale are always a cracker couple of days where we take our wines to our consumers. We love having a natter about all things farming and always grab an array of local produce to bring home.
Rani turned 18!
As our “baby” turned 18, Easter was upon us, and we saw some of our biggest trading days ever! Rani celebrated in style with friends and family, finally able to share bottles of her namesake Rani Rose. With the sun setting over the Limoncello Caravan, we spent a glorious Easter enjoying chocolate bunnies, wine and cocktails.
Norwood Food and Wine Festival – AFL Gather Round
After a 12-year hiatus, this festival was electric and a definite highlight of our year so far! With the sweet disposition of Aussie band Temper Trap firing through the crowd, there were said to be 70,000 people wandering around Norwood Parade. We had an absolute ball serving wine and Limoncello cocktails, making new Woodsoak friends and catching up with our regulars. The atmosphere was even more festive, with patrons proudly donning their colours and engaging in friendly banter. With free entry and a family-friendly vibe, this is definitely an event to put in the 2025 calendar!
Farewell to a Gem
With a touch of sadness, we bid farewell to our beloved Gayle, who moved on to new adventures after three amazing years with us. Her infectious smile and dance moves are sorely missed at our Cellar door. Cheers to new beginnings, Gayle!
