The pink-hued Rosé is neither a red nor white wine, although made from red grapes — in our case — the Pinot Noir. Rosé varies in colour and flavour depending on the grape variety used and the length of time the skins are in contact with the wine.
They can vary from a light coral pink through to a salmon colour and even darker pink hues. Rosé is a popular light wine that invokes daydreams of hazy summer days lazing by the pool or seaside, soaking in life's pleasures. However, it is versatile enough to be enjoyed all year round.
Our Rosé Wine
Rani Rosé 2022, made from the perfect combo of our Pinot Noir, Merlot and Shiraz grapes, is coral pink in colour with a sprightly aroma of wild strawberries and fragrant rose petals. Fresh berries and crisp red apples sit delicately on the palate. The finish is long and refreshing.
Rani Rosé was born from estate-grown and hand-selected Pinot Noir grapes on the 23rd March 2022. The primary ferment occurred over two weeks and was bottled in June 2022. No oak was used in the process, the result is a refreshing drop to quench any thirst on a hot summer day or evening.
Food Pairing
The perfect wine to pair with a range of food, Rani Rosé, can be appreciated with both savoury and sweet cuisines. It is an excellent drink for those gorgeous balmy summer days AND evenings. This delightful drop goes well with seafood, salads and is the perfect accompaniment to a charcuterie board – yum!
It's no surprise, though, that Grandma's (Sonia's mother) chicken curry is our favourite accompaniment with the Rani Rosé! Our freezer is never without a tub of our children's favourite food! One day, we'll share the recipe…
